The purpose of the ASES Program is to create incentives for establishing locally-driven expanded learning programs, including after school programs that partner with public schools and communities to provide academic and literacy support, and safe, constructive alternatives for youth.
Hours:
School release time until 6:00pm
Students are picked up before 5:45pm; staff on campus until 6:00pm
ASES operates during all regular and minimum school days (except the last day of school)
Offerings:
Homework help, enrichment, and time for physical activity
Every student has the option of a supper/snack provided by the school district
Each grade level offers group work, group homework help, and student lead activities in the upper grades
Specialty classes during ASES time (examples of past classes include art, Ballet Folklorico, and even Ukelele lessons)
