ASES (After School Education and Safety)

The purpose of the ASES Program is to create incentives for establishing locally-driven expanded learning programs, including after school programs that partner with public schools and communities to provide academic and literacy support, and safe, constructive alternatives for youth.

 

Hours:

  • School release time until 6:00pm
  • Students are picked up before 5:45pm; staff on campus until 6:00pm
  • ASES operates during all regular and minimum school days (except the last day of school)

 

Offerings:

  • Homework help, enrichment, and time for physical activity
  • Every student has the option of a supper/snack provided by the school district
  • Each grade level offers group work, group homework help, and student lead activities in the upper grades
  • Specialty classes during ASES time (examples of past classes include art, Ballet Folklorico, and even Ukelele lessons)
